I finally mustered the nerve to approach this subject, which is a touchy one for me. Many of you may know that two years ago, on Mother's Day, I watched (literally) my mother pass away from the devastating results of breast cancer. She fought this beast for three years before it finally won.
As I write this post, I recall the moments of those three long years where she was initially diagnosed up to the moments her heart finally stopped. I am finally at a place now where I've accepted that she's no longer here physically but she will be with me forever.
When my long time Boston friend, Nika of Nilanjo Fashion Entertainment, told me about this event she was putting together in support of breast cancer awareness month, I was nothing short of ecstatic and happy to help spread the news. Here is the information:
