Did I ever tell you about the time I was dressed nicely one Friday morning exiting Green Park Station in London on my way to watch the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace when a pigeon pooped on me. Or every time I go to the outlets here in Orlando, some tourist manages to nudge me in their hurried effort to purchase something without saying pardon me or excuse me (whichever term suits you). Or when someone talks during a presentation. Some things piss me off but not to the point that Google pissed me off the other day causing me more work.
The other day I received an invite to join the most talked about addition to the social media world, Google+. Onward I go to set up my account and began testing the waters. When I looked under the photo tab of my account, I noticed that ALL my blog pics from my Picasa account where synced to my Google+ account. Casually I thought, there's no need to have duplicate photos here so I made some private and some I deleted.
Unbeknownst to me, these photos are also tied to my blog AND are not duplicates. I really thought there was some glitch on Google's end with duplicating photos. But no, this is not the case at all. Making the photos private and/or deleting pics will cause them to disappear from your blog as it did mine.
Unfortunately some of my pictures were permanently deleted from my blog. Thank goodness I have copies of all the pics. Therefore it's just a matter of plugging them in where they belong.
Bottom line, if you delete or make private your pics in Google+, they will disappear from your blog.
Thanks for the heads up Google (being quite facetious).
